On Monday September 28th, the famous Eiffel Tower was lit up pink in support of breast cancer research. This came right before breast cancer awareness month which occurs annually in October. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women. In 2012, approximately 1.7 new cases of breast cancer had been diagnosed in women worldwide. The night may have been chilly but it was the perfect night for such an important event. Whether you were on the Champs de Mars, at Trocadéro, or anywhere else where the Tour Eiffel is visible in Paris it was an incredible sight to see. Light it pink!
